Kühlungsborn liegt direkt an der Küste und ist Touristen-Anziehungspunkt. Abgesehen von der Ostseeklinik, einem hervorragendem Campingplatz, einer schönen Strandpromenade bietet es auch ein "dezentes" Unterhaltungsprogramm an.
Klassischerweise auch die Reetdächer, links im Bild das Restaurant "Edel & Scharf", leckeres, aber nicht gerade günstiges Essen.
